MEDIAFY WordPress Plugin 1.5 Update: New Shortcodes for practical uses
Mediafy 1.5 introduces a major expansion to the plugin’s capabilities by adding a complete set of shortcodes designed to display people, relationships, metadata and trailer directly within any Movie or Series post. These additions build on Mediafy’s core features, including its custom post types for Movies and Series, TMDB integration, and advanced taxonomies for actors, directors, genres and more.
The new shortcodes give site owners more flexibility to structure movie and series content when uses builders like Blocks or Elementor, improve internal linking, and enhance user experience with dynamic, automatically updated data.
First, deactivate the default output
Go to Medify Settings and uncheck “Show Details Card”
After save, go to any movie or series with the imported data and place the new shortcodes on the content box.
People Grid Shortcodes
[mediafy_people_grid taxonomy="actor"]
This shortcode displays a grid of actors pulled from Mediafy’s dedicated Actor taxonomy. Each actor includes their term link with profile image, name and character played.
Use cases include:

[mediafy_people_grid taxonomy="director"]
This shortcode works the same way as the actor grid but uses the Director taxonomy. It displays directors with their term link with profile image and name.
